Tara remembers her first
public performance, at the age of four, on a table top in a New Jersey
mall, when an agent happened to hear her singing her heart out to
passersby and offered her work in commercials. She attended the prestigious
Professional Children's School in New York City, alongside Sarah Michelle
Gellar, Jerry O'Connell, MaCaulay Culkin, and Ben Taylor.
So, she was ready for fame when she got
her first role in 1982, in a TV series called Child's Play,
and she really thought she had arrived when she landed a role on the
TV soap, Days of Our Lives in 1995. But Tara Reid was
almost famous for years. She got some attention early on as Bunny, in The Big Lebowski, when she offered a blow job
for $1000. But she got killed off in the hit horror film, Urban
Legends. And she was one of Ryan Phillippe's first victims in
the runaway success Cruel Intentions. But, finally, in 1999
all the almost famous disappointment ended when she appeared in a
little film called American Pie.
